The following days were harsh for me. Every step that I took, I would always come falling down. It was really irritating for me. How can my ankle be healed at this rate? I might as well quit the soccer team while I can. Today was Friday and I spent the day staying home - in my room. I hadn't been able to come to school ever since Tuesday because of my 'sprained' ankle. My father and mother had been gone since yesterday, since they decided to take a trip to visit Yui's grandmother and would stay there until the following Monday. I didn't care.

As I turned to the next page of the book I was reading, I heard the front door of the house open and close. I checked the time on my watch: it was nearly one o'clock in the afternoon. School doesn't let out until three, what is Yui doing home so early? I slowly got out of bed and grabbed the crutches that was laid against the side table. After that, I took my time walking out of my room and headed for the stairs. As I was about to make my way down, I found Yui at the bottom of the staircase, looking back up at me - her arms crossed.

"What are you doing? You should be in your room, resting. You want that ankle of yours to be healed, deshou?"

"Shouldn't you be in school?" I questioned.

"Mom and dad are out of town so there's no one to take care of you while you're at home. I decided to cut class for the rest of the day, and spend the afternoon taking care of you."

"I don't need to be taken care of, just head back to school."

"You're in pain, you need to be taken care of."

"No, I don't."

"Quit being so stubborn already!" she yelled out. She was about to say something else but she just closed her mouth and swallowed her words. She shook her head and let out a quiet sigh.

"Did you have lunch yet? I'm pretty sure you didn't so I'll go make you some now," she said quietly as she headed inside the kitchen. I sighed as I continued to make my way downstairs. As I came into the kitchen, somehow the image of my own twin brother cooking came to me.

"N-Naoto? .. " I said quietly. But the image of him soon disappeared as it turned out to be Yui. She turned to me.

"Did you say something?" she asked quietly. I shook my head in reply.

"Take a seat at the table, your lunch should be done in about fifteen-twenty minutes or so." I did as told. I soon laid y head against the palm of my hand, I must be hallucinating. There was no way that Yui and Naoto could be the same. They're two different people with two completely different personalities. Yet .. she keeps acting just like him.

Somehow, time passed by so quickly that before I knew it - Yui had placed a bowl of soup and a spoon in front of me.

"Here's your lunch, onion gratin soup," she said to me. I was hesitant but I tried the soup anyways. It was warm obviously, but the taste .. it was sweet in a way. I looked down at the soup before me, the taste .. it was almost the same. I soon felt someone tap my shoulder and a small "ne, ne ... " can be heard. I turned to see Yui standing there.

"Is the soup okay? Do you not like it or-"

"Iie, it's fine. I'll eat it," I said as I continued eating the soup. However, eating it only brought back so many nostalgic memories - the memories of my late mother and twin brother. It wasn't before long that I finished the soup, but I couldn't stop thinking about my mother and Naoto. I soon saw Yui take the bowl and spoon away from my sight and into the kitchen she went.

"Since you finished lunch, go back up to your room and rest, okay?" she said to me.

"Y-Yea, thanks for lunch." I stammered. She turned around and nodded with a smile.

"You're welcome," she replied.

That smile of hers ...

It was almost identical to Naoto's.
